Apple do nicely!!

Hmmm…. so I haven’t blogged for a very long time and to be honest I don’t remember to take pictures of the things I make, I have pictures of everything else, but nothing useful! So I have decided to be proactive and I have made a list of all the things that are coming up in the next few months and I’ve set myself a goal to blog about all of them… fingers crossed I don’t lose my list or nothing will get done!

So onto the first item, a cake.
It was my birthday last weekend and Jess’s bit day cake was a bit of a flop (too chocolatey apparently, even though I had met every one of her requests!) I decided that I would make an apple and cinnamon tray bake to share at work. It is such an easy cake to make and if you have any left over I can recommend having it the next day smothered in custard.

Apple and cinnamon traybake

4oz melted butter or margerine
2 eggs
6floz milk
8oz caster sugar
10oz self raising flour
2 tsp cinnamon
10oz peeled diced eating apples (about 4 good sized ones)
Preheat the oven to gas 4/160° fan.
Prepare your tin. I used my brownie pan which is approximately 20 cm x 9 cm.

Into the melted butter add all the other ingredients except the apples and give it a really good mix.

Once it’s been combined add the apples and make sure they’ve been mixed in well.

Pour it into the tin and spread it as evenly as you can.

Bake for around 45 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
